Wetlands Sunrise
  • Wetlands Sunrise

The sun announces the dawn, brittle winter air fractures the light with white hotness whilst colour intensifies, disguising the last remnants of morning mist still hanging in the shadows.

A very textural painting, the striation and swirls giving life to the clouds and the grasses in the foreground. Natural colours are intensified under the command of the morning air.

Inspired by a photograph by Kim Brewin.
